Lange Zeit war der Verkauf von rauhen, ungeschliffenen Diamanten außerhalb von Nambia gemäß des namibischen Diamantengesetzes verboten. Das Diamantengesetz von 1999 änderte diese Exportbeschränkung. .
Außer einer Anzahl von kleinen Diamantminen, gibt es vier Hauptdiamantenfirmen, die mit Befreiung von Namdeb, ihre Produkte in Europa, in Antwerpen und in Israel verkaufen. Die Adressen sind wie folgt:
